Dear Parlier Families,
Yesterday we received excellent news from Fresno County! The COVID-19 case numbers fell from 30 to 22/100,000. If you recall, I had previously communicated these last couple of months that the case numbers needed to decrease to at least 25 in order for us to be able to bring back our elementary school students. Well that time has come!
We are planning for a phased-in return to in-person instruction via a hybrid model starting next week on Tuesday, February 23rd. We will start with students in TK-2nd grade next week and then add grades 3rd-6th the following week. You will be getting more information from your child’s school later this evening and throughout this week with more details.
Please know that we are in this together and we will work out any challenges that may come our way. The schools have been preparing for the safe return of students and share my excitement as we get ready to receive them back. We eagerly wait for the numbers to continue to drop to be able to bring back our secondary students as well. Rest assured that we will keep you informed with any new information.

Estimadas familias de Parlier:
¡Ayer recibimos muy buenas noticias del condado de Fresno! El número de casos de COVID-19 bajo de 30 a 22 por cada 100,000 personas. Acuerdense que ya les había comunicado previamente estos últimos meses que el número de casos debía disminuir a al menos 25 para que nuestros estudiantes en grados TK-6to puedan regresar a sus escuelas ¡Ese tiempo ha llegado!
Estamos planeando un regreso gradual a la instrucción en persona a través de un modelo híbrido a partir de la próxima semana el martes 23 de febrero. Comenzaremos con los estudiantes de TK-2º grado la próxima semana y luego agregaremos los grados 3º a 6º la semana siguiente. Van a recibir más información de las escuelas hoy y el resto de la semana con más detalles.
Por favor, no se les olvide que nos enfrentamos a esta situación en equipo y juntos resolveremos cualquier desafío que se nos presente. Las escuelas se han estado preparando para el regreso de nuestros alumnos y comparten mi entusiasmo mientras ponemos los toques finales. Esperamos ansiosamente que los números de casos del COVID sigan bajando para poder traer de regreso también a nuestros estudiantes de la secundaria y preparatoria. Los mantendremos informados con cualquier información nueva.
